First rough sketches for the 'Fields of Mud, Seeds of Hope' exhibition
The sketches were rough ideas for the soldier entitled 'Hope'. He subsequently has been depicted as a 6 foot high steel figure erected in Ripon for the centennial commemorations for WW1, and is also part of the mud installation in Ripon Cathedral, followed by a nurse leading a wounded soldier, and a lancer leading his horse.
